We Left Peller’s Wedding Like Thieves” — Seun Kuti
Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has recounted his experience at Peller’s wedding, claiming that guests left the venue in a hurry because of the large presence of agberos in Lagos.
He said:
“At Peller’s wedding, all of us left there as if we were thieves. Everybody escaped from that wedding.
Nobody left the wedding like a big man. Nobody left like the big man that we were when we arrived. We were leaving as if they were pursuing thieves because the Agberos in Lagos were too much.”
