
Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Stay Strong Amidst Borno Terror Attack
President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians not to succumb to fear following the recent terrorist attack in Borno State, assuring that the government is doing everything possible to defeat insurgency and restore peace.
The attack, which occurred in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area, resulted in the deaths of several people, including military personnel, and the abduction of many others.
Tinubu made this appeal during an interfaith breaking of fast with members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies at the State House in Abuja.
He commended the military for their swift response, which led to the killing of scores of terrorists and their subsequent forced retreat.
The President has directed the armed forces to intensify efforts to rescue those abducted and prevent further attacks on military installations in the North East.
He also expressed condolences to the families of those affected by the attack, praying for the souls of those who lost their lives.
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has also visited the affected community, describing the incident as tragic and assuring that efforts are underway to rescue the abducted persons and restore security.
