Teenager Sparks Debate After Claiming He Was Hospitalised for “Speaking Truth”
A Nigerian teenager has stirred conversations online after sharing a troubling account of being taken to a psychiatric hospital by his father over claims about his perceived “insight” and worldview.
In a lengthy statement, the teen alleged that his father reacted negatively after he expressed certain observations about life and family matters, which he described as “truths.” According to him, the situation escalated to the point where he was taken to a psychiatric facility and treated against his will.

“Another reason why Nigeria is still a third-world country is that people here believe that knowledge and wisdom are m@dn£ss. They always think a child who has a large amount of wisdom is ins@ne or p0ss£ss£d.
I am the type of person who is gifted with great insight about life. I see patterns of truth that people don’t notice. At some point, I exp0s£d some truths to my dad about himself. I told him this and that.The next thing he did was take me to a psychiatric hospital, saying I was going ins@n£. The revelation I gave him landed me in a psychiatric hospital. I was inj£ct£d twice, and the inj£cti0ns affected me for two months. It almost ended my career of being a seer.
White people would have appreciated my gift because it would add more to the growth of their nation. But in Nigeria, they see knowledge as m@dn£ss.
