NYSC Corps Member Reportedly Dies After Alleged Assault by Vigilante Group in Benue
Victim was weeks away from completing service year in Gombe State
A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), identified as Ben Agir, has reportedly died following an alleged assault by members of a local vigilante group in Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to reports, the corps member, who was serving in Gombe State, was allegedly beaten by the vigilante members under circumstances that have not yet been fully clarified.
He was said to be just weeks away from completing his mandatory service year before the tragic incident occurred.
