
MTN Chairman Mcebisi Jonas Condemns Xenophobia, Urges African Unity
Chairman of MTN Group, Mcebisi Jonas, has spoken out strongly against xenophobia, calling for unity across the African continent.
Jonas emphasized the need to eliminate ethnic divisions that fuel discrimination and violence, stating that South Africa cannot thrive in isolation from the rest of Africa. According to him, the country’s progress is deeply tied to the success of the continent as a whole.

South Africa is nothing without Africa, and Africa is nothing without South Africa,” stressing that the country’s growth is closely tied to the continent’s success. He concluded by saying people should never be judged or have their legal status determined by their country of origin.
