Governance Must Reach Rural Communities” — Peter Obi Urges Focus on Basic Needs
Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has stressed the need for government presence in rural communities, describing them as the areas with the most critical needs.
Speaking at Waru Wazobia in Abuja, Obi said true governance should not be limited to urban centres but must extend to underserved areas where citizens require essential services.
“This is where governance is truly needed, not just in urban areas. The places with the most critical needs, where government should show that it exists and cares for its citizens, are the rural communities,” he stated.
