Citizens Deserve Better Than Endless Excuses” — Barrister Darlington Agumuo
Barrister Darlington Agumuo has criticised successive Nigerian governments over the country’s persistent electricity challenges, questioning why stable power supply remains unresolved despite decades of promises.
According to Agumuo, millions of Nigerians continue to rely on generators and candlelight while experiencing constant frustration due to unreliable electricity.
In his words, he said ;
“This simple question cuts straight to one of Nigeria’s most persistent failures. Decade after decade, successive governments have promised stable electricity, yet millions of citizens still live with generators, candlelight, and constant frustration.
“The problem is not lack of resources or technical knowledge. Other countries with far less potential have managed to provide reliable power. What Nigeria lacks is consistent political will, proper accountability, and an end to the cycle of corruption and abandoned projects in the power sector.
“When a basic necessity like electricity remains unresolved for so long, it reveals deeper issues about governance and priorities. Citizens deserve better than endless excuses,
