School Threat Message Alerts, Lagos Police Mount Schools
The Lagos State Police Command has responded to distress reports from three private schools in the Ikeja area, following messages sent from the same unknown WhatsApp number.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, personally led a security operation to the schools, deploying explosive ordnance experts, rapid response teams, and other tactical units.
Police conducted a comprehensive sweep of classrooms, offices, halls, playgrounds, and surrounding premises.
No explosive devices or hazardous materials were found, and the schools have been declared safe for academic and administrative activities.
Investigations into the source of the messages are ongoing.
