Amaechi Warns Nigerians Over Alleged Post-2027 Tax Plan
Former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has cautioned Nigerians about the economic implications of the 2027 general elections, alleging that a major tax policy could be implemented if the All Progressives Congress (APC) retains power.
Speaking at a political gathering, Amaechi said:
“By January/February next year, all of you will be in trouble if the APC wins.
Immediately after the 2027 election, the APC will implement the tax law.
The tax law means that if I pay you ₦100 million for your building materials, ₦25 million will automatically leave your account.”
