He continued: “So we are not saying we don’t want to do membership registration; it’s a requirement that we have to do it. We’re not saying we don’t want to digitalise it, and we’re not saying that we are not ready for an election in January. What we are saying is that this appears like a deliberate encumbrance to ensure that we don’t meet those requirements. It’s a booby trap, and it is a conspiracy against democracy, against participation, and that’s what we are talking about.”
