ID Cabasa Laments Rising Normalisation of Violence and Insecurity in Nigeria
Nigerian music producer and industry figure ID Cabasa has raised alarm over what he describes as the growing normalisation of violence and insecurity across the country.
In a strongly worded statement, Cabasa expressed deep concern that many Nigerians have become desensitized to acts of brutality, noting that repeated exposure to such incidents has led to widespread acceptance and silence. He criticized the apparent lack of decisive action from the government, saying the situation continues to deteriorate while citizens adjust to a climate of fear and uncertainty.
He said
“it’s so sad now that we have gotten used to evil. Nigerians have gotten used to the k’||!ng. We have adjusted to the darkn£ss that has covered this country. The government of the day is not taking action and it’s so sad that even when we are supposed to speak up people pick political divides; we make it religious, we make it ethnical and we make it tribal. An innocent teacher was b3h£A**d£d and the next thing we keep adjusting.”
