Nigerian Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy has expressed frustration during a live Instagram session following his World Cup performance, speaking about what he described as disrespect from critics and comparisons with other musicians.
The singer said that performing at the World Cup should be considered a major milestone for any artiste claiming “OG” status in the music industry.
“Any artist who claims to be an OG but hasn’t performed at the World Cup should consider himself an upcoming artist,” he said.
Burna Boy also complained about what he described as ongoing disrespect and unfair comparisons.
“The disrespect I’m getting is too much — comparing me to untalented, wack artists,” he added.
