The Chief Medical Director of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Prof. Olawale Olakulehin, has confirmed that 44 abductees from the Oriire incident have been released, with most already reunited with their families.
Providing an update on their condition, the CMD disclosed that a few of the victims are still receiving medical care due to various health concerns.
“We had 44 released abductees, and as of today, eight of the children and one adult are left in the hospital due to one reason or the other. As soon as our professionals are through with them, we’ll get them discharged so that they will be reunited with their families as early as possible. The rest are already with their families,” he said.
