A South African man has raised concerns over the state of businesses in his community, claiming that economic activity has declined significantly following the departure of many African migrants.
“Business is dying in South Africa. Nobody is making money. Africans have left, and now we have our own businesses,” he said.
While acknowledging that the area is now cleaner, he expressed concern that the streets have become unusually quiet, with fewer customers and reduced commercial activity.
“It’s very clean, but it’s also very quiet. Around this time on a normal Saturday, you couldn’t even get through this street because it would be packed. But look at it now,” he added.
