
Umahi: Obi’s ‘Bank Savings’ Wiped Out After Paying Contractors’ Debts
David Umahi has claimed that the much-talked-about savings allegedly left behind by Peter Obi as governor of Anambra State were effectively exhausted after settling outstanding debts owed to contractors.
Speaking during a recent engagement, Umahi said he was informed that although Obi left funds in the state’s accounts, his successor, Willie Obiano, presented a list of unpaid obligations.
Peter Obi said he left money in the bank as the governor of Anambra state. However, when Willie Obiano came, he showed him the list of contractors the state still owed. After they balanced the figures, there was nothing left.” He said
