Bose Ogulu, mother and manager of Nigerian music star Burna Boy, has spoken about being referred to as “Mama Burna,” saying she is proud of her son but does not want her entire identity to be defined by him.
She said:
“I can’t hate being called Mama Burna. I’m proud of my son. It only becomes irritating when everything about my life is attributed to Burna Boy. He’s my son, yes, I know, but everything about me shouldn’t be about him.”
