Entertainment executive Obi Asika has shared a memorable story told to him by international music star Akon about the former Nigerian duo P-Square, highlighting their massive influence across Africa.
According to Asika, Akon once revealed that he had been booked for a show in Zambia but couldn’t attend due to a double booking. To manage the situation, he invited P-Square to perform in his place until he could arrive.
In his words, he said:
“I remember a story Akon told me about P-Square. He was booked for a show in Zambia but since he couldn’t attend because he had a double booking, he called P-Square to hold it down until he joins them. As soon as they announced P-Square, the whole country scattered,”
