Court Ordered INEC to Include a Party That Was Not on the Ballot Paper, We Had to Reprint” — Haruna
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has explained that it had to reprint ballot papers for the Osun State governorship election after a court order directed the commission to include a political party that was initially omitted.
Speaking on Thursday, Haruna said the ballot papers had already arrived in Osogbo when the court order was issued, forcing INEC to begin the reprinting process.
In his words, he said:
“On Thursday, the ballot papers already arrived in Oshogbo; that was when the order by the court came, and we had to start reprinting, but that will not affect the opening of polls.”
