Award-winning comedian, actor and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has marked his 55th birthday with a reflective message of gratitude.

Makun celebrated the milestone on Wednesday by sharing new photos on his social media pages.

Reflecting on his journey, the entertainer described his new age as a period of grace, resilience and gratitude.

He noted that he had experienced both highs and lows, learned valuable lessons and remained grounded through the years.

Makun also credited his progress to faith, acknowledging that he remains a work in progress.

“A life of grace. A journey of resilience. A heart full of gratitude. I’ve seen the highs, survived the lows, learned the lessons, and through it all, God has been good.

“55 years. Visibly blessed. Deeply grateful. Still standing. Still smiling. Still becoming. Happy birthday to me,” he wrote.

Makun has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s comedy and film industries for more than two decades.
