Artists Need to Be in People’s Faces; AI Can Now Do What We’re Doing” — KCee
Nigerian singer KCee has highlighted the changing dynamics of the music industry, saying artists can no longer rely solely on absence or scarcity to maintain their relevance.
The singer noted that while being less visible could create value for artists in the past, particularly around 2021 and 2022, the rise of artificial intelligence and changing audience behaviour have altered the industry.
KCee said:
AI can now do what we’re doing. Absence used to create value in 2021–2022, but things have changed. Artists need to be in people’s faces.”
