Police Confirm Attack on Gubernatorial Aspirant’s Convoy
The Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, has confirmed an attack on a convoy carrying a gubernatorial aspirant, government officials and political stakeholders.
According to Iniedu, police tactical operatives “successfully counter-engaged suspected terrorists” after the convoy came under attack involving an improvised explosive device (IED) and rocket-propelled grenades.
He said the operatives forced the attackers to retreat into the surrounding bush.
