Refineries Are Just Factories; Nigerians Should Look Beyond Them” — Mustafa Chike-Obi
Former Fidelity Bank Chairman Mustafa Chike-Obi has urged Nigerians to look beyond petroleum refineries and focus more on 21st-century industries and technologies.
He argued that refineries are simply factories and are not considered extraordinary in countries such as the United States, where major attention is given to technology companies and innovation.
He said:
“Refineries are just factories. There are four refineries in the US that are the same size as the Dangote Refinery, yet Americans do not talk about refineries. They talk about Microsoft, SpaceX and Google.So Nigerians should look beyond refineries and start looking forward to the 21st century.”
