I Miss Fela Dearly, He Treated Me Like a Brother — Former Manager Baba Ani
Baba Ani, former manager of the late Nigerian music legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s band, has spoken fondly about his relationship with the Afrobeat pioneer, saying he continues to miss him dearly.
Ani recalled that Fela trusted him and treated him as a brother rather than merely an employee during their years of working together.
“I miss Fela dearly. He trusted me and treated me as a brother rather than an employee,” Baba Ani said.
