Tinubu Assures Nigerians of Safety, Vows to Defeat Terrorists in Eid-el-Kabir Message
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to tackling insecurity across the country, despite ongoing attacks in some communities.
In his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message, the President acknowledged the persistent threat posed by terrorists and bandits, even as security forces continue intensified operations nationwide.
“I am aware that, despite the best efforts of our security and intelligence agencies—including the recent elimination of a wanted ISIS leader—heartless terrorists and bandits still attack some communities,” Tinubu stated.
He, however, urged citizens not to lose hope, emphasizing that the government remains fully engaged in restoring peace and stability.
“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” he added.
