EFCC Explains Freeze on Osun Government Account Ahead of Election
During an interview on Arise TV, anchor Rufai Oseni questioned the rationale behind the freezing of the Osun State Government’s account just days before an election.
Responding, Wilson Uwujaren, Director of Public Affairs at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stated that the decision was taken as a precautionary measure.
“We took that step to preserve the Osun State Government’s account because we observed suspicious activities on it,” he explained.
