EFCC Probes Osun Government Over Alleged Mismanagement of Public Funds
Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has disclosed that it is investigating the Osun State Government over alleged financial misconduct.
In a statement, the commission said the probe, which began in March 2026, centers on the suspected fraudulent handling of Ecology Funds, Intervention Funds, and allocations from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC).
The agency revealed that several state officials have already been invited for questioning, including the Accountant General, as part of ongoing efforts to uncover the extent of the alleged irregularities.
The EFCC added that investigations are still underway, signaling that more developments may emerge as the process continues.
