Bovi says he “celebrates divorce” as sign of unhealthy marriages
Popular Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has shared his thoughts on marriage and divorce, saying he sees divorce in some cases as a positive outcome when a relationship is not working.
“I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or two people were not breathing well inside that space. I will not suffer anybody, neither will I want anybody to suffer me.”
He added that his personal view does not mean marriage is always easy:
“That’s not to say my marriage has been easy for 17 years. It has not. That’s a long time. I got married at 29 and have been the sole provider.”
