
Military airstrike kills nine ISWAP fighters, destroys vehicles in Borno
Military air operations have reportedly killed nine fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province during a targeted airstrike in Borno State.
According to reports, the strike also destroyed several operational vehicles used by the militants.
The operation was carried out as part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the North-East by the Nigerian Armed Forces, aimed at disrupting terrorist activities and weakening their mobility and operational capacity.
Security sources said the strike was based on intelligence tracking the movement and gathering of the insurgents.
