Governor Alex Otti Pledges Road Rehabilitation, Security Support Ahead of Alexx Ekubo’s Burial
The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has expressed pride in the late actor Alexx Ekubo, describing him as a cultural ambassador who openly celebrated his heritage and hometown.
Speaking on the actor’s legacy, the governor noted that Ekubo consistently showcased pride in his roots, pointing out that one of his final social media posts reflected his love for his culture and his hometown of Arochukwu.
Alex Ekubo was one man who was very proud of his state and his culture. If you go to his Instagram page, you’ll see that the last post he made was about his culture.
“He actually said,
I love my culture,’ and did a dance about his hometown, Arochukwu, and put that out there. That is the last thing I think is on his Instagram page.
“That shows you how proud he was of his state. And as people of Abia State, we are very proud of Alex and proud of his achievements on earth.”
Another thing His Excellency did, apart from speaking to the family, was to make a pledge to help them fix the road that leads to Alex’s hometown, at least make it motorable even before the burial. He also pledged financial support and security for all those who will be coming for the burial in Arochukwu. And right now, he is still willing to do even much more as the need arises.”
