We Will Put Money in Nigerians’ Pockets to Buy Fuel” — Amaechi Explains Atiku’s Subsidy Position

ADC Vice-Presidential candidate, Chibuike Amaechi, has clarified the position of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on petrol subsidy removal.

Amaechi said Atiku’s proposal is not to reverse the subsidy removal but to provide financial relief for Nigerians during the first four years of an ADC-led administration, enabling citizens to afford petrol.

He said:

“What Vice-President Atiku is proposing is not to deviate from the removal of the subsidy. He’s saying that in the first four years that we take back this office, we will put money in the pockets of Nigerians to be able to buy this fuel.”
