I Was Almost Detained at Heathrow After 18 Phones Were Found in My Bag — Dele Momodu
Veteran Nigerian journalist and publisher, Dele Momodu, has recounted how he was allegedly almost detained at Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom after customs officials found 18 mobile phones in his bag.
According to Momodu, officials questioned him and asked him to prove that he was a journalist.
“There was a time I was almost detained at Heathrow after they found 18 phones in my bag. When they asked me to prove I was a journalist, I dialed the numbers of Queen Elizabeth II and former US President Bill Clinton,” Momodu said.
