Wike Criticises APC Governors Over Opposition to ‘Rainbow Coalition’
Nyesom Wike has criticised APC governors who recently opposed the proposed “rainbow coalition,” describing them as “smart but politically lazy.”
Wike made the remark while reacting to the governors’ position that they would not support any coalition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, the electoral performance of President Bola Tinubu in some APC-controlled states raised questions about the governors’ political strength.
“When I look at the APC governors who held the press conference, I see people who are smart but politically lazy. Hope Uzodinma was the governor of Imo State, yet President Tinubu could not secure 10% of the votes there. The same thing happened in Ebonyi State,” Wike said.
