Methodist Archbishop Praises Umahi, Tinubu Over Niger Bridge Project
The Methodist Archbishop, Vincent Onoh, has praised the Minister of Works, David Umahi, and President Bola Tinubu for their efforts in advancing infrastructure development, particularly in southeastern Nigeria.
Onoh, who visited Umahi alongside other bishops, said the church came to appreciate and honour the minister for the work being carried out in the region.
“We have just come as a church to appreciate you for the work you’re doing, not only in Nigeria but particularly in the East. The Niger Bridge is 90% done now. People come around and ask, ‘Is this done in Nigeria?’” Onoh said.
The Methodist Archbishop said the delegation was also thanking God for raising leaders who, in his view, were contributing to the development of the country.
“We just want to appreciate God that He raised a man like you in our time, and I decided to pull my bishops to come around to appreciate and honour you for this work,” he added.
Presenting a plaque to Umahi, Onoh said it was in recognition of the minister’s contributions and the projects he was still expected to undertake.
“In appreciation for the great works you have been doing and the ones you’re still going to do, we want to appreciate you with this plaque to the glory of God,” he said.
