Tinubu Asks US Court to Block Release of Investigative Records Sought by Aaron Greenspan
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly joined the legal effort seeking to prevent the release of investigative records requested by US transparency activist Aaron Greenspan.
The records are being sought through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit involving the US Department of Justice (DOJ), FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and relate to historical US investigations involving Tinubu.
Recent court proceedings indicate that Tinubu joined the DOJ’s request for additional time, while the FBI separately asked permission to submit some sensitive materials to the court privately for review.
