North could end terrorism only through unity, collaboration – CAN
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Northern Nigeria, has observed that the coming together of Nigerians as an entity against terrorists will play a major role to curtail the lingering security challenges in most parts of the country particularly in the northern region.
Speaking to newsmen in Kaduna on Saturday during an interactive session, the chairman, Rev. John Joseph Hayab said, “I want northern Nigeria to work together with government and other Nigerians to end the senseless killings in the country. If the terrorists know that we are united with the government, their work will be weakened and we will virtually bring it to an end.”
He added, “As the country approaches the general elections in 2027, some people will come up with deceptive strategies but we should focus on collective efforts to defeat our enemies. We in the North should not allow enemies of progress and to continue to have their way of causing destruction to lives and property.”
