Film Piracy: Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye publicly accused Emmanuel Davies
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has publicly accused an individual named Emmanuel Davies (also referred to as Lagos Sound) of pirating her film Where Love Lives by:
• Uploading the movie to his YouTube channel and reportedly filing a copyright claim on a song used in the film — despite Ademoye asserting she owns full rights to that soundtrack.

As a result of the alleged copyright claim, YouTube demonetised the movie, meaning Bimbo’s channel could not earn revenue from the project despite its popularity (the film has over 18 million views).
She also alleges that the same song was uploaded to Spotify and other streaming platforms under Emmanuel Davies’ name, with him claiming to be the composer.
💥 Bimbo Ademoye’s Response
In an emotional Instagram video, Bimbo condemned the actions as theft of her intellectual property and issued a public ultimatum demanding that the copyright claim be lifted immediately.
She emphasised that she pays for and clears all soundtracks used in her films, and that this was professionally and creatively damaging.

At one point in her posts she vowed she “will not rest until” the matter is resolved — including pursuing legal action and involving authorities if necessary.
