“I’d Rather Not Be President” — Omoyele Sowore Criticises Nigerian Political Leaders
Nigerian activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has stated he would prefer not to become president than preside over a government he describes as corrupted.
He said
I’d rather I don’t become President if I have to be a President and bring about the corrupt people that destroyed Nigeria.
Sowore went on to critique prominent political figures, highlighting past controversies:
Ameachi is the guy who couldn’t complete a railway station in Rivers.”
Peter Obi, you know his story already.”
Atiku was vice president when AASU went on strike and instead of solving it, he and Obasanjo built their own private universities.”
