Ladies Lament Lack of Romantic Attention, Blame Hard Economy
A group of ladies has sparked reactions online after expressing frustration over what they described as a decline in romantic attention from men, linking it to the current economic situation in Nigeria.
One of them said
God abeg o, dem no dey toast person again? With all the makeup and cloth we no even see person wey say hi.”
She compared the present to earlier times, adding, “
Those days if you go big supermarket go buy something, you go see person wey go greet you. My makeup don waste. Boy no dey look girl again o. Nigeria don hard reach like that? Are you people blind? I no understand o.”
She further said their outing in Asaba did not yield any romantic attention, saying, “
We don waka the full Asaba, nobody go toast you. I think say I go see man wey go ask me out so that my birthday go sweet. Nigeria don hard o, dem no dey toast person again.”
