VeryDarkMan Criticizes Political Switching, Says Youths Were Misled in ADC Protest Drama
Nigerian social media commentator VeryDarkMan has taken a swipe at political actors over what he described as inconsistency and manipulation during recent political activities.
He stated:
According to him, he was previously pressured to join a protest linked to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which he believed was being presented as an electoral reform movement.
“Just last month, a group of people came out to do ADC protests/campaign and tagged it electoral reform. They were calling all the youths and also called my name to come out and show the party I support, and that if I don’t come out to support ADC, it means I’m supporting All Progressives Congress.”
He explained that he refused to participate, saying the event appeared political rather than a genuine reform movement.
“I told them I wasn’t going to come out cos this is a political protest, it’s a campaign and not electoral reform.”
He further claimed that some of the individuals involved have now shifted political alignment.
“Today, all those people that were in ADC and called me out are now with National Democratic Congress. Imagine if I had joined, I would have looked like a fool now… they’ll soon clash with the same Dino Melaye and co they protested with.”
He concluded with a strong criticism of political behavior:
“Politics will turn you into an idiot.
