The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said he would have advised former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, against running under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), claiming he foresaw internal political complications.

Wike stated that if Amaechi had contacted him, he would have discouraged the move, insisting that he “saw the setup” within the political arrangement.
