Kwara Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapping Kingpin, Recover Firearms
The police command in Kwara State has arrested an alleged kidnapping kingpin identified as Yabo, along with nine other suspects, in a coordinated security operation.
According to authorities, the suspects were apprehended following intelligence-led raids targeted at criminal hideouts linked to kidnapping activities in the state. Security operatives also recovered several weapons during the operation.
Items recovered reportedly include firearms such as rifles and pump-action guns, which are believed to have been used in previous criminal operations.
The Nigerian Police Force said the arrests mark a significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks operating in the region.
