Lady Says She Realized She Was Not Ready for Marriage After Fast-Moving Relationship
A lady has shared her experience on relationships and marriage readiness after recounting how a casual relationship in Lagos quickly escalated into marriage talks.
She explained that she graduated from university in December 2022 and returned to Lagos in 2023 while still trying to figure out her life direction.
Her words
You think you’re ready for marriage until you see somebody very serious and they are just trying to get married to you almost immediately and that’s when you realize that how far, calm down, I’m not really really ready like that.
I graduated from University in December 2022, so in 2023 I came back to Lagos and I was still trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life.
So I met this guy and we got talking and he was like he is ready to meet my people in May, and I was like how far, calm down, calm down. And he was like don’t worry, I’m going to open a business for you, do this, that for you.
That was when I realized that I’m not ready o and that I want to see your people sounded like a threat to my life. It just occurred to me that many people think they are ready for marriage until that big question just pops up.”
