Caleb Mutfwang Alleges Political Sponsorship Behind Insecurity in Plateau State
Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has alleged that the insecurity challenges in the state are being fueled by political actors seeking to destabilize the region.
Speaking on the security situation, Mutfwang claimed that attacks in the state tend to intensify during election periods, suggesting a political motive behind the violence.
According to him
I make bold to say that the insecurity situation in Plateau State is being sponsored by desperate politicians who are out to destabilize the state,”
“If you noticed, this violence and attacks always peak during election cycles. What does that tell us? It is a clear indication that it is political; in fact, they are more political than terrorism.”
“So from our investigations, we have discovered that these attacks are being sponsored by desperate politicians who are bent on destroying Plateau. But we will not allow that to happen,”
