I’ll Secure the North, Obi Secures the South” — Kwankwaso Speaks on Political Strength
Former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has addressed criticisms labeling him a regional politician, insisting his political influence remains strong—particularly in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television, Kwankwaso dismissed the notion that being rooted in the North is a weakness. Instead, he framed it as a strategic advantage in a broader national equation.
According to him:
“Some people call me a Northern politician limited only to the North. But I will secure the North while Peter Obi secures the South. Together, we are good to go!”
