“I Never Thought a Day Would Come When I Would Miss Buhari” — Man Blasts Tinubu’s Administration
A Nigerian man has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying the country’s economic situation has become so difficult that he now finds himself missing former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Comparing the two administrations, he claimed that Buhari borrowed about ₦83 trillion during his eight years in office without removing the fuel subsidy, while petrol prices rose from ₦97 to ₦180 per litre.
He said:
“I never thought a day would come when I would miss Buhari. Buhari, a military dictator and a civilian dullard, borrowed ₦83 trillion in eight years without removing subsidy. He moved fuel from ₦97 to ₦180 and left the dollar at just ₦520. Inflation was at 11%, electricity at 5,000MW, with massive unemployment. Then comes the ‘Jagaban of Africa,’ the ‘Builder of Lagos,’ the ‘Intellectual Genius.’ In less than four years, he has borrowed over ₦155 trillion. After removing subsidy, fuel has moved from ₦180 to over ₦1,300, the dollar from ₦520 to over ₦1,400, electricity has fallen below 5,000MW, inflation is over 30%, with massive unemployment.”
